WHAT IS A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN?
A ROADMAP TO THE FUTURE OF TRIBAL LAND.
A comprehensive plan establishes a community’s long-term vision for its future by identifying policies, programs, and projects that will help fulfill this vision. The issues covered in a comprehensive plan often include transportation, land use, parks and trails, economic development, housing, and many other topics. For the Catawba Nation, the comprehensive plan will help guide the development of tribal lands to ensure the tribe continues to thrive well into the future. Developing a comprehensive plan is a collaborative process, so community involvement is vital to ensuring the plan will be successful in meeting the needs of everyone in who lives, works, or spends time on Catawba’s tribal lands.
